Level 4 Core of Knowledge
Level 5 Laser Tattoo removal
Working as a beauty therapist, specialising in massages and facials, Kirsty was keen to set up her own business and expand her offerings. She had always had an interest in tattoo removal and this grew over time, driven by her passion for helping people feel confident in their skin and also the desire to be able to work for herself.
After considerable research by herself and her partner, Kirsty chose Bianco Academy for her training. She was impressed by glowing reviews from past students, as well as the welcoming and knowledgeable team she encountered during her initial interactions.
As a qualified beauty therapist, Kirsty already had the Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology certification, so she enrolled in our Level 4 Core of Knowledge Training, which laid the groundwork for her understanding of the intricate world of laser use, learning in-depth about laser technology, together with safety and legislative requirements.
Kirsty then progressed to our Level 5 Tattoo Removal Training, focusing on both cosmetic and conventional tattoos, as well as carbon peels, also known as the Hollywood facial.
Kirsty’s training comprised classroom-based theory sessions followed by two intensive one-on-one practical days. In these sessions, Kirsty was able to draw on the knowledge from her theory training.
The first practical day involved closely observing the practitioners and practising on paper. Kirsty also had a consultation and patch test for a tattoo that she no longer wants, together with a carbon peel, so she could experience the treatment from a customer’s perspective.
The second practical day was spent carrying out tattoo removal, cosmetic tattoo removal and carbon peels on models under her trainer’s close guidance and supervision.
As Kirsty was travelling some distance from Hastings, we arranged a local hotel for her, with two complimentary nights’ accommodation included in the comprehensive Level 5 Laser Tattoo Removal course.
Initially, Kirsty felt apprehensive about the training. We understand it can sometimes be quite daunting staying away from home and attending intense training as you’re embarking on a new career, so as a team, we do what we can to ensure our students are made to feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible to ensure their success.
Kirsty’s determination and enthusiasm, combined with our team’s comprehensive training and support, helped her quickly overcome these challenges. She grew more confident in her abilities as she completed her theory training and practical sessions, consistently demonstrating a strong grasp of the skills required and completing her written assessments.
Kirsty’s dedication paid off as she successfully completed her training. She is now well-equipped to offer tattoo removal services, combining her knowledge of beauty therapy with her new skills. Looking ahead, Kirsty plans to collaborate with a local tattoo artist, offering tattoo removal services alongside their work. This partnership will allow her to apply her skills in a real-world setting and help clients achieve their desired outcomes.
At Bianco Academy, we are thrilled to have been part of Kirsty’s journey and look forward to seeing her continued success in the tattoo removal industry.
Bianco Academy are very supportive and help you really well on the course. They saw that I was nervous and made me feel at ease. They also are supportive in helping to get my own clinic set up and are just a message or phone call away if I need advice. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to train.
