An already proficient professional in the beauty and aesthetics industry, Sophie already had many strings to her bow. She had a steady business delivering beauty treatments such as eyelash extensions, as well as being a very skilled Semi-Permanent Make-Up artist. Sophie wanted to expand her skillset and her business offering, meeting the needs of her existing clients and appealing to new audiences.
Sophie decided that laser hair removal would be an ideal addition to her treatment repertoire and began researching training academies. She called Bianco Academy and was impressed that in addition to being a 5-star rated training academy, we also have a thriving clinic of over 10 years – Bianco Beauty – giving Sophie confidence that she was in the right hands to build her skills. During this process, Sophie quickly realised that she not only wanted to be trained by Bianco in Laser Hair removal, but also Laser Tattoo removal, and so she promptly booked her training dates.
As an already skilled beautician and cosmetic tattoo artist, Sophie already had her Anatomy and Physiology certificate–the first prerequisite to enrolling in these advanced courses. She therefore started with her Level 4 Core of Knowledge training, an in-person classroom based course at Bianco Academy in Milton Keynes.
Sophie brought an extremely keen willingness to learn and enjoyed Bianco Academy’s small classroom environment, which enabled collaboration and questions throughout training to ensure an optimal learning experience. Core of Knowledge training covers laser science, schematics, legislation and tissue interactions, which can be daunting for someone with no laser experience, but Sophie took the time to study resources provided by Bianco ahead of her in-person course and immersed herself in the learning experience.
Following Core of Knowledge training, Sophie separately completed theory training in both Laser Hair Removal and Laser Tattoo Removal, before returning to the Academy to experience the important practical training required for these disciplines.
Being in a client-facing industry already meant Sophie found client consultations, interaction and comfort to be a natural skill. Laser hair removal and tattoo removal aren’t without pain and discomfort for clients, so the ability to establish trust and confidence in your clients is of utmost importance in the laser industry.
Sophie learned the practical applications of laser hair removal and laser tattoo removal, as well as the enormously important safety components and consultation processes. After initial training completed in August, Sophie returned to the Academy in October to complete further case studies, solidifying her skills and completing her training as a laser hair and tattoo removal practitioner.
Following her training, Sophie continues to provide her clients with exceptional results in Semi-Permanent Make-Up at her own clinic, SH Beauty Station. She has now expanded her skill-set enabling her to provide additional and complimentary treatments to her clients, such as removing previous cosmetic tattoos before re-applying new ones.
She has ambitions to continue growing her business and client base and we can’t wait to see her achieve her goals!
